Salomon 4 Trails
Runners and hikers can look forward to a 108-kilometre course divided up into four stages. For hikers there is a small change compared with last year – in response to popular demand, there will be no classification or ranking for hikers taking part in the SALOMON 4 Trails. Day one from Imst to Wenns has a total distance of 26 kilometres and 1,927 vertical metres of uphill. The highest point is the Kreuzjoch mountain at 2,300 metres. Day two sees runners and hikers head from Wenns to Ried im Oberinntal, covering 27 kilometres and 1,462 vertical metres of ascent in the process. This stage features truly spectacular views of the Kaunertal Valley. Stage three connects the villages of Ried im Oberinntal and Pfunds. It offers 27 kilometres in length and 1,603 vertical metres of climbing. The final stage from Pfunds to Nauders is another 27 kilometres in length. It also features the highest point of this year's SALOMON 4 Trails, the Zadresjoch at 2,391 metres above sea level. After the finish in Nauders 202 kilometres on the way to lake Garda are already in the books.
The SALOMON 4 Trails have shown themselves to be the perfect introduction for runners to the world of stage races and a fascinating challenge for hikers.
