Ticks all the summer holiday boxes

Since the field archery course opened in Pfunds, the tri-border region has become a centre for archery in the area. Guests can discover for themselves the fascination of intuitive field archery.

The five-hectare facility with 28 3D animal models fits beautifully into the natural landscape of Pfunds/Tschingls. The ultimate of a field archery course is to fit the sections into their natural surroundings in such a way that they are not changed. Hence you find the shooting market for a long-distance shot of a bear, for example, on a large boulder, the ibex stands majestically on a huge rock, pheasants hide in the bushes and large birds of prey are high above the shooter’s position. Each individual section is a challenge for the archer, who can either have a traditional longbow or a recurve bow. In the middle of the terrain, some old ruins were built and in the ‘living room’ of the hundred year-old house, a refreshment corner has been set up.

Large training area!

For newcomers to this booming sport, there is a spacious training area at the entrance to the course and the shooting area is also equipped with 3D discs. A FITA practice facility with discs at 90,70,50 and 30m is also available.

Try it for yourself!

The contact point for all archery is the Fischeralm, a fantastic hut with a fishing pond (fishing available) offering excellent food and drink. The landlord, Charly, is an archer himself and is happy to share his tips for the course.

A day ticket gives you access to the course from May to October as many times during one day as you like. This is available directly from the Fischeralm (closed on Mondays), and equipment can be hired here also. Every Tuesday and Friday, experienced archers show beginners as part of the guest summer programme (children over the age of 8 accompanied by an adult) how it works and every Friday from 16.00 there is a tournament to round off the week. Great reductions with the summer card!
