Nauders Edelweiss Way

The Edelweiss Way takes seasoned mountain climbers up to a unique panorama from Bazahler Kopf to Fluchtwand. To begin with it was just a song "So when you really love me Darling bring me Edelweiss" - however we decided to dedicate this tended trail to the most symbolic flower of the Alps.

Characterised by the most beautiful Alpine flower

The Nauders Edelweiss Way owes its name to the most botanically magnificent location on the Reschen Pass: Meadows covered in Edelweiss line the path and draw attention to perhaps the most well-known protected Alpine flower. From the access point via Parditsch towards Bazahler Kopf and via Labaun towards Fluchtwand, seasoned mountain climbers can enjoy the 0.5 km-long trail around 130 metres in height. Sturdy shoes, good equipment and experience of Alpine terrain is required to safely conquer the black marked hiking trail.

Walk and enjoy

In addition to the sporting challenge, the Edelweiss Way is appealing with its impressive mountain panorama and views across the Tri-Country region into the Swiss Engadine and Vinschgau to Ortler (3,905 m). A hike across the new Nauders Edelweiss Way is perfect for physical well-being: The Parditschhof and Labaunalm snack bars provide comfortable resting points as well as fuel for hungry mountain climbers.
