This September, the “Power of the Elements – Yoga and Sound Festival” will take place for the fourth time in the beautiful Kaunertal valley in Tyrol. Surrounded by majestic peaks and crisp mountain air, an atmosphere unfolds that helps you slow down and connect. A weekend full of inspiration, lightness, and precious moments in nature—with yourself and with others.

An Oktoberfest will take place in Kauns on Saturday 16 September 2023. The Musikkapelle Kauns traditionally organises the 19th Kauner Oktoberfest in the heated marquee on the village square from 20:00.

When winter arrives and enchants both land and people, the Kaunertal turns into a winter wonderland.

On 30 and 31 January 2027, the 'Kaunertal Testival & Freeride Days' will take place on the Kaunertal Glacier. The free Testival will feature workshops, free Pistenbully transport and musical highlights, amongst other things.

About 600 mountain sheep are driven from the alpine pastures down to the village. At the Ensplatz the splitting of the animals begins. The sheep are returned to their owners and sheared.
