Fishing in the Stillebach

Attraction

The Stillebach stretches from the Italian border to the fortress of Nauders, where it disappears into the roaring Inn Gorge. The top part is a quiet flowing meadow stream and easily accessible before it then develops into a rough mountain stream.

The Stillebach fishing area also includes the wild and romantic Piengbach, which winds its way from the Gold lakes through the picturesque Piengtal and represents a real challenge for passionate fishing due to stronger vegetation. Total length of the stream is about 12 km and it offers both the sports fly fisherman and the hobby fisherman countless opportunities to indulge in fishing. The section from the fortress to the Inn can only be reached by climbing and for those who know the area. The water has a good stock of rainbow trout & brook trout are also in the crystal-clear mountain water.

Fishing cards for private fishing are available at the Hotel Post or Haus Arina.
