Golden Days

The Boundless Gravel Event in Nauders

25–27 September 2026 – The late-summer sun makes the larch trees glow. And we’re celebrating a gravel festival with crystal-clear panoramic views on spectacular gravel routes on the Reschen Pass.

We don’t know exactly how many kilometres of gravel tracks there are around the Reschen Pass. But there are certainly several hundred in the Tyrolean Oberland and the South Tyrolean Vinschgau Valley. What we do know for certain, however, is that these tracks lead to some absolutely stunning vantage points where you’ll be left speechless with amazement. What’s more, for those who know the region well, this is the most beautiful time of all – when late summer is slowly giving way to autumn. The larch needles turn yellow, the air becomes crystal clear, and the weather gods grow gentle and relaxed. It’s a brilliant time to be outdoors – the perfect time to explore a special gravel trail on your gravel bike at the foot of King Ortler. That’s why we want to celebrate the Golden Days with you at precisely this time.

| THESE ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE GOLDEN DAYS

GOLDEN DAYS GRAVEL GIRO

The Golden Days Gravel Giro is a community ride with no timing on the extraordinary panoramic trails at the Reschen Pass. It’s up to you how far and how high you want to push yourself. There are three routes for racking up kilometres and metres of elevation gain. But also for taking in fabulous sights that you won’t forget in a hurry. The routes lead to top-notch photo spots, stunning mountain views, rustic huts, across lush alpine meadows and past Lake Reschen, which glistens turquoise in the sun.

GOLDEN DAYS GRAVELDURO

Brand-new and crazy, but this format is a perfect fit for Nauders: In this combination, a gravel biker races against the clock up the mountain on gravel trails. An enduro rider then tears back down to Nauders on the spectacular 3-Country Enduro Trails. Individual participants can also take on both challenges on their own. The winner is determined by the sum of the two split times. A challenging race that showcases what Nauders has to offer all cyclists: namely, the full package across all disciplines.

| THE ROUTES OF THE GOLDEN DAYS

With the option to take the Bergkastel Cable Car in Nauders for the first ascent, the three routes offer a total of 6 elevation options ranging from 790 to 3,150 meters. So there’s a huge selection, and everyone can find the right challenge here. Here are the descriptions of all the route variations:

ESPRESSO

51.5 km / 1,430 m elevation gain (“Decaffeinato” with lift: 45.9 km / 790 m elevation gain)

Highlights of the “Espresso” in a nutshell:

  • The enchanting Plamort high moor and the Panorama Rock, offering the best view of Lake Reschen and the Ortler
  • A loop around Lake Reschen featuring the iconic church tower in GraunRescher Alm: a rustic mountain hut at the very top with panoramic views of the lake and mountains

CAPPUCCINO

74.2 km / 2,270 m elevation gain (“Decaffeinato” with lift: 68.6 km / 1,630 m elevation gain)

More Highlights on the “Capuccino”

  • Magnificent, open meadows between Haidersee and Mals
  • An idyllic stop at the rustic Bruggeralm

GRANDE CAPPUCINO

99.7 km / 3,150 meters of elevation gain (“Decaffeinato” with lift: 94.1 km / 2,510 meters of elevation gain)

More Highlights on the “Grande Cappucino”

  • A particularly beautiful panoramic trail through Mals with a stunning view of the Vinschgau Valley
  • The historic old town of Glurns

DECAFFEINATO

The models with a lift

If you want to soak in the epic panoramic views at the Reschen Pass on your gravel bike in the morning and then hit the 3-Country Enduro Trails on your mountain bike
in the afternoon, then this is the offer for you!
Pure enjoyment! But easier on the heart! If you want to save some elevation gain, you can take the Bergkastelbahn in Nauders for the first climb. That saves over 600 meters of elevation gain and opens up new possibilities. The “Espresso” route becomes even easier, but still offers a 100% scenic experience. But even the “Cappuccino” and “Grande Cappuccino” routes might become appealing to the hesitant riders thanks to the elevation gain savings. All routes initially pass by the Bergkastelbahn’s valley station. The lift shoots up Nauders’ local mountain, and those who take it actually reach a higher elevation than everyone else. Once you arrive at Berggastel at the top, a gravel path leads down to the right toward the Stieralm, where it rejoins the route that doesn’t use the lift.

| GOLDEN DAYS GRAVEL COMMUNITY

The Golden Days event area is the central meeting point in the village of Nauders. This is where the community gathers to catch up. At the Expo stands, you can find out about the latest trends and test ride the hottest new gravel bikes. This is the start and finish point for all the hands-on events, and in the evening everyone gathers round the campfire to celebrate. This is where everyone meets up for the ride-out. After a day’s sport, you can sink back into a deckchair, happy and content. Here, you can treat yourself to a post-ride beer, catch up with friends and simply enjoy yourself, listening to the beats the DJ is pumping out across the site. Chilling out on the festival grounds – that’s all part of the Golden Days experience too.
