Vinschgerbahn railway

Cycling is even better than ever with the Vinschgerbahn railway in Vinschgau (South Tyrol): cyclists can look forward to modern bikes (mountain bikes, urban bikes, trekking bikes and kids’ bikes, tandems). You can travel through the Vinschgau area all day by train and bike, for as long as you want, and wherever you want. You can hire or return bikes at six bases: Merano Station (Goods station area), Naturns (after around 15km), Latsch (after around 30km), Schlanders (35km) Sponding (50km) and Mals (60km). In addition, there are also bike hire centres at the Messebahnhof station in Bolzano South and in Reschen. Bikes can be hired and returned at each hire centre. You can also bring your own bike on board the Vinschger railway, assuming there is enough room (extra charge applies).
