From the Bergkastel mountain station, we hike to the Almboden up to the reservoir. Past the anti-tank barriers and the historic bunkers built between 1938 and 1942, we reach a magnificent viewing rock. There we enjoy the marvellous view of Lake Reschen and the Vinschgau Valley with its mighty peaks. We return via the Plamortboden to the Stieralm, where we stop for refreshments.
