There is plenty to discover along the 26-kilometre-long Kaunertal Glacier Road! A truly special viewpoint can be found at the end of the reservoir, above Fernergries (climbing area, via ferrata) – the “Zirbenwald” viewpoint (bend 21). Here, the Swiss stone pine forest marks the end of the tree line on the Glacier Road. A stunning view of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains is guaranteed!
