Museum Alt Graun

The history of the little village of Graun is inseparably linked to the devastating damming of the lake Reschensee, during which hundreds of families from Graun and Reschen lost their existence. 
The Museum Alt Graun provides information about the sinking and the reconstruction of the villages Graun and Reschen within the scope of an extensive photo documentation. In addition, the exhibition presents both sacral objects and historical objects of the former rural everyday life. From the beginning of July to the end of September a guided tour of the community museum takes place every Wednesday at 17.00 hrs. (Meeting place: Parish church Graun - by appointment)
