Rolli Hike Aifner Alm

The wheelchair hike is suitable for people who use a Swiss-Trac. The starting point is the car park on Kaunerberger Landstraße, heading towards the Nature Park Centre – take the turn-off for the Aifner Alm.

The starting point is a small car park near the hamlet of Puschlin, heading towards Kaunerberg. From here, you need to drive about 1.5 km along the tarmac road, or you can park directly at the turn-off towards the Aifner Alm (for experienced users only!). The route begins on a firm gravel track. After about 300 m, a short incline begins, but it is easy to negotiate. The hairpin bends along the route (always stay on the main track!) are also easy to navigate. Just before the alp, there is a very steep and bumpy climb to tackle. After about 6 km and 1.5 hours’ ride, you will have reached the alp. The panoramic view is difficult to access, though there are some lovely vantage points about 300 m before the alpine hut. The staff at the hut are very helpful and serve simple alpine dishes.

Parking: No reserved parking spaces at the Aifner Alm.
Toilets: Access to the toilet facilities is restricted.
Places to stop for refreshments: Aifner Alm, Almstube (step height 5–7 cm).

Tip: A forest track (approx. 600 m long) branches off directly in front of the alpine pasture. It leads gently uphill through a lovely, sparse Swiss stone pine forest.
